Days of a New Volume 1: Part 2

The drive to the Whataburger where I worked was quiet, peaceful it was almost if this event in time would never change anything. Outside was the sound of  a waking city. Inside the questions started, why are y'all in school, we made up some bullshit lies like I have a dentist appointment and he's a drop up. Finally, we ate some fries and sipped our drinks. Not too long after the fries disappeared the normal disappeared and the adventure began to unfold. Across the street there was a shopping center with roof-top parking with a steep ass entrance/exit ramp. I took my skateboard and held on to the back of the truck as I handed all my life’s value to my brother Mike; he took it and ran bombing the ramp with me on the back. I never had a doubt we nailed it. I jumped in and we headed to Bryan were we literately flew, Mike hit the railroad tracks on MLK and Texas Ave. going 40 mph there was never a sliver of fear in his eyes. You could feel the suspension bounce under the weight of the two ton truck. Still we rolled on. Next was the Skate park, where after a short session and a cigarette we met up with to two new friends whose names I will not mention. Until finally it was time to leave, and it was decided; to the mall. The ride there was short, inside was an on going conversation about pass drug use, rock n' roll, and sex. We finally arrived and outside the smoke a cigarette entered the air, and the sound of a carnival manager cussing out his employees rang loud and clear. Then its was inside, first stop Hot Topic were I stole a princess zelda figure and talked to the employees like nothing was up. Just admiring the things that I could never afford. Next was Gamestop, after that Spencer's. And as we checked the gumball machine station looking for spare candy and quarters, hid among the machines was an iPhone 4 in the most amazing condition almost new. After a quick second in the puppy store, we decided to leave the mall with that iPhone in our possession. Within an hour we were selling the iPhone. But i had to counter his offer of 100. "110", I said, "100", "105", I countered, "100", Finally "100.50", finished. We received $100.50 for a phone we found laying on a gumball machine less than an hour before. And as to fine gentlemen of the law the first thing that me and Mike bought with the money was a pack of cigarettes.
